Upright rowing is an excellent movement for strengthening the back, shoulders, and dorso. But for many seniors with a sedentary lifestyle, this exercise can carry more risks than benefits.
If you don’t actively use and exercise your upper body, chances are you have a stiff back and tense muscles to stabilize the spine.
The limited functionality of your back, center, and shoulders can not only limit your rowing movements but also strain your back.
